When we speak about tool clamping we normally mean tap holders and tapping attachments for the clamping of tools for the production of threads.
Our product range includes the following production series:
Series KSN
The tap holders of our KSN series are designed especially for use in CNC machining centers, CNC turning machines and other machine tools. The tap holders type KSN/Softsynchro are mainly used in CNC machines with synchronous spindles, due to their special constructional design. Owing to the very different requirements a tap holder has to meet, the KSN series can be divided into the following six types:

| KSN/IKZ(Z)/MMS |
for thread cutting operations with internal coolant supply and minimum quantity lubrication (MMS) up to 10 bar (140 psi), marked with a green ring on the shell. |
| KSN/HD |
for thread cutting operations with internal coolant supply up to 50 bar (700 psi); marked with a red ring on the shell. |
| KSN/ICS |
for thread cutting with control of the thread cutting cycle. |
| KSN/Synchro |
for thread cutting on machines with a synchronous control system, for tap clamping with steel collets. |
| KSN/Softsynchro |
By installing a minimum length compensation on compression and on tension, small pitch differences between spindle and tap which would lead to high friction forces on the thread flank are compensated. An eventual increase of axial force during the thread cutting cycle is reduced to a minimum. |
All these tap holder types feature the following technical characteristics:
- compact shape, small projection
- length compensation on compression
- increased length compensation on tension
- tension release
- pressure point mechanism
- exchange of quick-change adapters possible by operating the length compensation on compression or on tension (KSN and KSN/ICS), or by lifting the shell in a compression direction(KSN/HD)
- high-quality surface protection against corrosion (KSN/HD)

Series SFM
Due to their slender design, the tap holders of our SFM series are used primarily in multi-spindle machines, allowing the machining of bore holes which are situated at very small distances to each other.
Owing to the very different requirements a tap holder has to meet, the SFM series can be divided into the following three types:

Standard design without length compensation. Relatively short construction. |
| SFM-NP |
Standard design without length compensation. Relatively short construction with a newly-developed ball-floating system for the compensation of misalignment between tap hole and spindle, and of spindle runout. |
| SFM-L (DZ) |
The standard design of this tap holder type includes a spring loaded axial length compensation on compression. In case of an operation of the overload clutch, the lengh compensation will avoid any damage which might be caused by differences in movement between tool and feed control. |

Series GRN-NC
The tapping attachments of this series are mainly used in CNC-controlled machines and are available in four sizes.
Due to the integrated reversing gear mechanism the reversing of the machine spindle for retracting the tap becomes superfluous. The resulting advantages are:
- time saving due to shorter cycle times;
- reduced stress on the machine (motor) and energy saving due to constant current consumption;
- suitable for revolutions up to 6000 rpm and internal coolant supply up to 50 bar (7oo psi)
